- Choose a starting number. Every next number is one more.
- After 99 comes 100. After 109 comes 110. The counting pattern keeps going.
- You can organize a large set in groups of ten and then count the extra ones.
Something to notice
Listen as the child counts from several unfamiliar starting numbers through 120. Ask them to read and handwrite numerals and count physical objects. Typed sequence answers alone do not establish oral or handwriting proficiency.
