Make the rows and columns
Partition a fixed rectangle into the requested rows and columns of squares.

Let’s understand the idea.
- Cover the whole rectangle with same-size squares. Their edges meet with no gaps or overlaps.
- A row runs across and a column runs down. Every complete row has the same number of squares.
- Count every square once. Grouping by rows or by columns changes the counting path, not the total.
Something to notice
Observe physical tiling, independent grid drawing and explanations of why row/column counts agree. These guided partitions check the requested rows, columns and total, while keeping the original rectangle fixed. A different partition can be geometrically possible but does not satisfy a request for specified row/column counts. Formal multiplication and area units are not required here.
