Touch each counter once and use the last number as the total.

Let’s understand the idea.
- Touch one counter. Say one number. Keep one number for each counter.
- A counter you already counted stays counted. It does not need a second number.
- The last number tells how many. Spread the same counters out: the total stays the same.
