Let’s understand the idea.

  1. Complete packs, leftover items and containers for everything count different things.
  2. One more container is needed only when items remain after full containers.
  3. Equal sharing asks for whole items per recipient; do not confuse recipients with items in a group.

Something to notice

Compare two questions about the same cards and packs. Can the learner explain why their final values differ even though the underlying quotient and remainder agree? These one-step contexts do not replace multistep problem review.

Try it. Change it. Explain it.

Open the lesson to use its pictures and controls. In How it works, connect the picture to the idea. In Play & discover, change the quantities and notice what stays the same. In Your turn, answer questions and use the explanation to check your reasoning.

You can ask for help, draw on the thinking pad, or listen to the question and answer options. Progress distinguishes independent work from work completed with help.
