Let’s understand the idea.
- Choose the hour and the minutes after it. Use the plus/minus controls or type a minute and press Set.
- Both hands move together: each minute turns the long hand one tick and the short hand a small distance toward the next hour.
- At :59 the hour is almost finished. One minute later starts the next hour with :00.
Something to notice
Ask the learner to read and set an unfamiliar physical analog clock to the nearest minute, explain each hand and write the digital time. Observe real-clock transfer and independent explanation. These lessons address the clock-reading part of 3.MD.A.1; duration, start/end-time stories and number-line reasoning are separate requirements.
